As PAT Testers and Noise Level Meters are sophisticated instruments, it is important to make sure that they are continuing to measure correctly. If a company fails to check and maintain calibration, it could face difficulty substantiating any measurements, in the event of a claim. We recommend that calibration is carried out annually. When we calibrate we make sure that all products meet the original specification. We make sure that: •Calibration is traceable back to National Standards. •The unit is refurbished. •If it is mains powered, we carry out a safety test. •A calibration certificate is issued. Noise Meter Calibration Service If you have a field Noise Calibrator, you can check the day to day accuracy of the Sound Level Meter, but this is only being done at 1 kHz. It is also important to check that the Calibrator itself is still working correctly.
