Email Fax

Recently, at home and on my cell phone, I keep getting calls from fax machines. They are almost always different numbers, and always leave a message containing a dialing sound (similar to the sound you hear when you try to dial-in to the internet with a dial-up modem). The calls are from area code 817…which is in the Fort Worth, Texas area. Today I tried to call the number back and just got more dialing noises. Is there any way to stop this? It’s really irritating.

I have important faxes to send, I thought the problem was with the fax number I had but have since realized it’s because I recently switched to Magic Jack and it doesn’t send most faxes. I read somewhere online that it sends a digital signal whereas faxes communicate with analog. Does anyone have a solution for this? I don’t have a scanner so I can’t fax from the internet. Please help!

I have the number off my caller id but 411 cannot find the number in their database. my phone company says they are not able to block the call. i tried searching on the internet but it wants me to pay 15 bux to find out information about the number. so i ask here first. anyone have any ideas?
